  3. This document contains a description of DOCZ capabilities, 
  4. installation instructions, registration incentives, and
  5. a registration form.
  6.  
  7. VOLUME is a file multi-volume archiver and combiner.
  8.  
  9. VOLUME divides a large file into pieces small enough to fit on
  10. removable media.  VOLUME can then recombine the pieces from removable
  11. media.  VOLUME can optionally call your favorite archiver (such as
  12. ZIP) before writing the removable media.
  13.  
  14.                             Register VOLUME
  15.  
  16. VOLUME is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge to the
  17. user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your friends, but
  18. please do not give it away altered or as part of another system.  The
  19. essence of "user-supported" software is to provide personal computer
  20. users with quality software without high prices, and yet to provide
  21. incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products.  If
  22. you find this program useful and find that you are using VOLUME and
  23. continue to use VOLUME after a reasonable trial period, you must make a
  24. registration payment to Software Toolz per the conditions on the
  25. order form below.  The registration fee will license one copy for use
  26. on any one computer at any one time.  You must treat this software
  27. just like a book.  An example is that this software may be used by
  28. any number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  29. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it being
  30. used at one location while it's being used at another.  Just as a
  31. book cannot be read by two different persons at the same time.

  33. Commercial users of VOLUME must register and pay for their copies of
  34. VOLUME within 30 days of first use or their license is withdrawn. 
  35. Site-License arrangements may be made by contacting Software Toolz.

  37. Anyone distributing VOLUME for any kind of remuneration must
  38. first contact Software Toolz at the address below for authorization.
  39. This authorization will be automatically granted to distributors
  40. recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for
  41. shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering
  42. VOLUME immediately (However Software Toolz must still be advised so
  43. that the distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest
  44. version of VOLUME.).

  46. You are encouraged to pass a copy of VOLUME along to your
  47. friends for evaluation.  Please encourage them to register their
  48. copy if they find that they can use it.  All registered users
  49. will receive a copy of the latest version of the VOLUME
  50. system.

  52. Registration entitles you to unlimited 90 days of support via any
  53. of the following:

  60.       (with gateways to Compuserve, Genie, and America On-line)

  62. Registered users will be supplied with the most recent updates.
